ED IMPACT AFRICA FOUNDATION

Deric is a monitoring, evaluation, research and learning professional with extensive experience strengthening evidence systems for education and development programmes. As Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning at Education Leadership Africa, he leads the organisation's approach to programme measurement, learning, accountability and the use of evidence in decision-making.
His experience spans programme monitoring, evaluation design, research, data quality assurance, digital data collection systems, learning assessments, proposal writing and evidence synthesis. He has supported large scale education programmes working across schools, districts and government systems, with particular experience in measuring changes in teacher practice, stakeholder behaviour and learner outcomes.
Before joining STIR Education, Deric held monitoring and evaluation roles in which he designed monitoring frameworks and data collection tools, led field research and verification exercises, strengthened programme reporting systems and supported teams to translate data into practical programme improvements.
His work is grounded in a simple principle, evidence is most valuable when it leads to better decisions. He therefore focuses on building systems that go beyond reporting requirements to help organisations understand implementation quality, identify gaps, test assumptions and continuously improve their programmes. His professional interests include education systems strengthening, behavioural measurement, teacher motivation, programme evaluation, research, digital data systems and organisational learning.
