ED IMPACT AFRICA FOUNDATION

In her current role, Lorna supports programme planning, implementation, quality assurance and learning, while working closely with government and education partners to strengthen the systems that enable teachers and school leaders to thrive. She is particularly passionate about locally led approaches to education, continuous professional learning, evidence-informed decision-making and creating opportunities for practitioners to learn from one another. She believes that sustainable change is built through strong relationships, listening to those closest to the work, and giving people the confidence and support to lead change themselves.
What motivates Lorna most is seeing good ideas move beyond paper and become meaningful changes in classrooms and communities. She is inspired by the commitment of teachers and education leaders who continue to find solutions despite challenging circumstances, and she enjoys creating spaces where people can reflect, learn, collaborate and improve. Her academic background in Public Administration and Management, Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies, Governance and Ethics, and Project Management complements her practical experience and continues to shape her commitment to building education systems that are more responsive, inclusive and able to give every learner a genuine opportunity to succeed.
