ED IMPACT AFRICA FOUNDATION

In her current role as Principal Programme Lead at STiR Education, Annet provides strategic leadership for programmes aimed at strengthening education systems and improving learning outcomes in the Regions of Busoga and Rwenzori. Her responsibilities include stakeholder mapping and engagement, education needs assessments, programme planning and budgeting, capacity building of education leaders and teachers, partnership development, data use and learning, programme monitoring and reporting, and working closely with government and other education stakeholders. Previously, as Programme Manager, she supported education programmes across 11 districts and more than 2,000 schools, working with government officials, district education leaders, teachers and other partners to strengthen education leadership and classroom practices. Her earlier experience with SOS Children's Villages Uganda also gave her extensive experience in child protection, youth development, livelihoods, community empowerment, organisational capacity building and support to vulnerable households.
Annet is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to lasting improvements in the lives of children, young people and communities, particularly by strengthening the systems and people that support them. She is passionate about building the capacity of local leaders, educators, communities and partner organisations to identify challenges, use evidence to make informed decisions, and develop solutions that can be sustained beyond individual programmes. Her work is grounded in a belief that meaningful and lasting change comes from empowering people and strengthening local systems to create better opportunities for children, young people and vulnerable communities.
